The fine print

Privacy

Short version: we collect as little as possible, and we never sell your information.

The Boring Plan calculator

The calculator runs entirely in your browser. To remember your numbers between visits, it saves them on your own device. They are never sent to us. To clear them, click "Start from scratch" or clear this site's data in your browser.

Visitor counts

We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views, so we know which lessons are helpful. It doesn't use cookies, doesn't follow you to other sites, and can't see anything you type into the calculator.

The newsletter

If you subscribe, your email address is stored with Buttondown, the service that sends our emails, along with which page you signed up from. We use it only to send you Be Boring Rich emails. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can reply to any email to ask us to delete your information.

Links to other sites

Lessons sometimes link to other websites, like brokerages. Their privacy policies apply once you're on their site.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page. Last updated November 6, 2026.
